Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Training Certificate
Toxin & Filler Certification
Nurse Practitioners (NP) often work long, hard hours with little to no rest. While many love their career, the demands on a nurse practitioner can be overwhelming in today's modern society. Becoming a certified cosmetic injector can open up many avenues for nurse practitioners and help expand their knowledge, opportunities, and paycheck.
Aesthetic nurse practitioners often find a more manageable work/life balance, a positive work environment, and overall satisfaction in their job. With the demand for cosmetic injectables on the rise, the opportunities for nurse practitioners are endless. Through the American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine (AACM), NPs can receive the training, certification, and continued education necessary to become aesthetic nurse practitioners.
Becoming A Certified Cosmetic Nurse Injector
All states require NPs to become certified and have proof of in-depth training in the field of cosmetic injectables. Although all nurse practitioners are trained in administering injections, cosmetic injections and fillers require special training and knowledge before one can administer them legally. AACM offers this extensive training for all NPs to help them launch their cosmetic injector career.
Both nurse practitioners and nurses can register for AACM’s cosmetic injector program. There are two courses an NP can take to become a certified cosmetic injector. Both courses provide hands-on training and eight hours of courses. NPs can choose to take one or both courses depending on what they wish to do.
After completing the courses, the nurse practitioner will take a written and oral examination before receiving their certification. Once they finish the training and pass the exam, they will be certified through the American Academy of Cosmetic Injectors. If they fail, they have four chances to retake the examination throughout the year for no cost.
